Intermediary Non-repudiation Protocols
In commercial transactions, an intermediary might be involved to help transacting parties to conduct their business. Nevertheless, the intermediary may not be fully trusted. In this paper, we introduce the concept of intermediary (or agent) in a non-repudiation protocol, define the aims of intermediary non-repudiation protocols, and analyze their security requirements. We present a simple scena...
متن کاملAutomatic Analysis of a Non-Repudiation Protocol
We define a probabilistic model for the analysis of a Non-Repudiation protocol that guarantees fairness, without resorting to a trusted third party, by means of a probabilistic algorithm. By using the PRISM model checker, we estimate the probability for a malicious user to break the non-repudiation property, depending on various parameters of the protocol.
متن کاملFormal Analysis of a Non-Repudiation Protocol
This paper applies the theory of Communicating Sequential Processes (CSP) to the modelling and analysis of a non-repudiation protocol. Non-repudiation protocols di er from authentication and key-exchange protocols in that the participants require protection from each other, rather than from an external hostile agent. This means that the kinds of properties that are required of such a protocol, ...
متن کاملA Multi-party Optimistic Non-repudiation Protocol
In this paper we consider the optimistic approach of the non-repudiation protocols. We study a non-repudiation protocol with off-line trusted third party and we keep on with the definition of the multi-party non-repudiation, compare it to multi-party fair exchange and show some fundamental differences between these two problems. Finally, we generalize our protocol and propose a multi-party non-...
متن کاملA Multi-Party Non-Repudiation Protocol
We present a multi-party non-repudiation protocol, based on a group encryption scheme. We define multi-party non-repudiation, compare it to multi-party fair exchange and show some fundamental differences between these two problems. This is the first effort to generalize nonrepudiation to the multi-party case. Our definitions and the resulting protocol are more general than the ones given in the...
